Capture Your Moment Photography, "You create your moment, I capture it."

Hello, I'm Jackie Halla and this is a little information bout me. In 2007 I started school at the University of Minnesota, Duluth for graphic design. I had an art credit to fill so I decided photography might be fun. One class and I was hooked. It wasn't long before I changed my major to Digital Photography. Throughout my life I have always been interested in drawing faces and capturing specific expressions in those drawings. Taking the photography class showed me that I could use what I know about these expressions and apply that to photography. What comes of that is a love of capturing specific moments in time, freezing them to view and enjoy those simple, true-to-life expression.
Constantly in life I try to show others that they are special and unique. Photography is my way of bringing just that to the forefront. Each person I photograph is special and unique and I hope to capture a moment that shows each and every one of you just that.

It is in the name, Capture Your Moment Photography doesn't just capture any moment, it captures YOUR moment. Time goes fast, sometimes moments go forgotten. That is where I come in. I take these moments that may be forgotten, what your groom looks like when he sees you for the first time on your wedding day or the way your newborn baby crumples her face up when she is learning to smile, and I capture that moment in time, securing it in a memorable photo that will keep those precious times close to you.

Introducing Lola

This new addition to the family visited my studio yesterday. It is always enjoyable to have newborns in the studio. Lola was such a tired girl, and it was so fun to see how she reacted to each setting we placed her in. She even woke up for a little bit towards the end of the shoot to show us her bright, beautiful eyes. Congrats Jori and Brandon, you really have a sweet, special little girl!

Collages and Memory Books

Just wanted to give you all a look at some special things Capture Your Moment Photography has to offer. Collages are either custom made or chosen by the couple. The pictures I choose are my favorites from the day- ones that I think really capture a certain mood that the day had. Memory books are a neat way to catalog the day as well and are great gifts for friends and family!

Brand New Smiles

I was lucky enough to have my one month old niece in the studio this month. This month old baby girl is full of brand new smiles. She was such a patient girl for our shoot, being sure to give me and my camera lots of those award winning grins.

Mottram Wedding

They braved the International Falls cold- (and so did all their guests!) Kevin and Erin were a wonderful couple to work with- their energy, laughter and good spirit was all so contagious. The wedding party was a reflection of that. Their day was filled with tears, giggles and an ever so cozy limo ride! Congrats once again to the beautiful new couple on the start of your married life together. There is no doubt in my mind that you two will last as long as your grandparents, Kevin (58 years- wow!)
